Grim Reminder

Grim Reminder is a bboy crew originating out of Calgary, Alberta with one of our members living in Toronto, Ontario; We consist of four members coming from the crew formerly known as Modus Operandi.

Although the name may have an ominous feel to it, we think it best suits our view of this dance. A very common proverb in Hip Hop is “Don’t sleep,” and we don’t feel that there’s any better way to put it. It’s the grim reminder that you are better than us, and it’s also the reminder that we’ll be coming up on you. It’s the day that we get to the top, and the day we lose to the next generation. The feeling of being overwhelmed because there is still so much to learn, and also the time we start passing on the knowledge. It goes all the way until we can no longer bboy anymore, but that’s a long ways from now.

The Crew formed on April 22nd, 2008 during a three on three battle at The Whiskey in Calgary, Alberta. We are a family, and spend as much time as we possibly can together.
